TREATMENT AREAS

Whatever brought you here today, I'm glad you found your way to this page. Maybe it's a memory that won't quite settle, a fear that's grown bigger than it should be, thoughts that won't ease up, or a relationship pattern that keeps showing up no matter what you try. Whatever it is, you don't have to carry it alone — and there's a path through it. Here's a closer look at how I can help

TRAUMA

  • Why does my body react before I do?

  • Why do I feel so disconnected?

  • I am avoiding...

  • Why am I always on edge?

  • I wish I could stop thinking about ... or get this image to go away?

If painful memories keep resurfacing, or certain places, people, or situations trigger a reaction that feels bigger than the moment calls for, it may be a sign that something from your past hasn't been fully processed. This can show up as flashbacks, nightmares, feeling emotionally numb or shut down, or a body that reacts before your mind catches up.

PHOBIAS

  • I am so scared of needles I keep avoiding going to the doctor because I fear the blood draws.

  • Why am I so scared of throwing up or someone else getting sick?

  • I know it's irrational but I can't be around dogs/spiders/etc - phobia ruining my life.

A phobia is a fear that's out of proportion to the actual danger — of flying, driving, medical procedures, heights, or something else — but that doesn't make it any easier to live with. Phobias often develop from a specific past experience, even one you may not consciously connect to the fear today.

OCD & INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS

  • I have scary thoughts that won't go away.

  • I can't stop checking.

  • Why can't I stop obsessing with germs?

  • How do I stop being scared I will hurt someone?

  • Why can't stop overthinking the same thing?

If unwanted, distressing thoughts keep looping — especially ones that feel completely out of character, like fears of harming someone you love or contamination fears — you're not alone, and it doesn't mean anything is wrong with you. Compulsions like checking, washing, counting, or needing things to feel "just right" often develop as a way to manage this distress, but tend to grow rather than resolve it. Treatment focuses on interrupting the cycle itself, not suppressing the thoughts.

ANXIETY/PANIC DISORDERS

  • Why do I feel like I'm dying but nothing's wrong?

  • I can't stop worrying about the future.

  • I have chest tightness, my stomach is in knots, my throat gets so tight and my heart races.

  • I can't turn my brain off.

Constant worry, a racing mind, dread about things that haven't happened yet, or panic that seems to come out of nowhere are all common experiences — and exhausting ones. Rather than just managing symptoms in the moment, EMDR and related techniques work to address what's driving the anxiety in the first place.

RELATIONAL PATTERNS/ATTACHMENT STYLES

  • Why do I need constant reassurance in relationships?

  • I am scared my partner will leave me.

  • I pull away when things get serious.

  • Why am I so scared of being left?

  • Why do I panic when partner doesn't text back?

  • I can't I trust anyone.

  • Why am I always waiting for the other shoe to drop?

Sometimes the same dynamic keeps showing up across relationships — feeling like you have to earn love, struggling to trust, shutting down during conflict, or picking partners who repeat a familiar hurt. These patterns often trace back to earlier experiences that shaped how you learned to connect with others.
